"Medicine Man" is the age old term for a person with mystical powers, who can heal the spirit, mind and body. Tibetan Medicine, which is largely based on Buddhism, is the first in a series of profiles on traditional medicine. The techniques and philosophy of this unique form of healing are explored. Interviews with women who have used these treatments as a remedy for infertility and other common maladies such as neck and back pain are testimony to the use of alternative and complementary medicine and based on teachings such as these, in modern life.
