EPISODE 102 - "KILLING THE WATER"
THE ENVIRONMENTAL EPISODE

"KILLING THE WATER" - Just off the coast of Florida's most famous beaches lie hidden underwater outfalls, pouring tons of unseen sewage into the waters along the Coast. This is just one element of the long history of today's rapidly increasing crisis of clean water, as red tides increase in frequency and duration, toxic algae blooms contaminate rivers, lakes and estuaries across the nation, coral bleaching destroys rare sea life and cyano bacteria continues to make people and animals sick. The economic impact from these phenomena are having a drastic impact on nearly every sector from real estate, to tourism, fishing, boating and public health.

"KILLING THE WATER" is a Special Report with 20 years of science, data and research into the role that aging infrastructure, overdevelopment and failing regulations have played in what is now seen as the toxic contamination of our nation's water supply.

Experts like Sylvia A. Earle, Larry Brand, Brian Lapointe and more discuss what's been happening to our environment for the last 20 years, what the dangers are moving forward and what actions we can take to prevent further damage.

Discussions include in depth analysis of how Untreated waste, agricultural run off and elevated levels of nutrient rich sewage have accelerated the growth of the dangerous contagions now threatening the lives of our families, communities and animal life.
